Just one more spectacular visit...have now calculated that we have spent more than a year of our lives on St. Martin over the last 30 or so years, but who is counting....this was our 2nd for 04, and plan on having to suffer another visit in November.

First 6 nights spent at a friends vacant Villa in Basse Terres and as wonderfully beautiful as it was, it was too big for just two people, but that is just my opinion. Did not spend much daylight time there anyway so who can look a gift horse in the mouth!

Weather , always a concern after being sequesterd by Lenny for 6 days back in 01, was great for the entire stay save for one afternoon (the 6th?) when yellow umbrellas at Club O were taking flight on their own before the Beach Boys could race to remove them.

Sand.....at OB is as plentiful as it has ever been in my estimation.......God works in mysterious ways.....the literally millions of tons of sand that comes and goes is remarkable!Beach at Cupucoy remains....SPARSE at best!

Daily breakfast at La Croissanterie,Citrus or on one ocassion, Kangaroo .....while on the West Side of the island.

Daytime....Club O every day.....soooooooooooo boring, such hard work......don't know why I do it! Having to look at that blue ocean...that white sand beach....that crystal clear water....relaxing with a good book....and wonderful woman...it's perfectly awful!

Late Afternoons........SSBB....Cliffhanger....BBB.....Shooters, Caribs, Pinas, .......at incredibly low prices....what is a man to do.?

Dinners.....always the highlight of our trips...and never disappointing. L'Auberge Gourmand (trice)...IMO the finest on the Island....Don Camillio (twice) ...John remains a Saint....La France @ The Marina....this woman knows how to COOK...improvise, adapt and overcome...wonderful! Le Monmarte....excellent...but VERY Quiet...sad! Peg Leg...always a good peice of Americana when the need arises...Tried The Turtle for the first time...more than adequate and fairly priced! Johnny B Under the Tree...always a hoot when the mood to 'reef the main' takes over!

Tiko Tiko....after ALL these years we finally gave it a go...as by then we had checked into a studio at Club O...also a first...as my Bride was forever hesitant about staying there as opposed to being quite comfortable using the beach all this time. Sail over to Tintemarre was smooth as glass(almost)....other guests were great fun....Food and Drinks plentiful and well prepared...mud bath...amazing what it does to your skin...terrific fun as well. A memorable day!

Conclusion..........Bride says we are going back in November, will never stay at another place than Club O.......Period! She is sooooooooo converted she complains about what a bummer it is to put on something to go pick up the newspaper every morning here at home....

Go Figure!
