We arrive in SXM on March 3 and will be there for the last 2 days of the Regatta. We are staying in Simpson Bay at either the RP or Atrium. Are either one of these places better for viewing races or is it best to be out in the ocean if so is there anyone who offers a day trip? TIA!

The start and finish lines are quite far out, closer to the airport side than the Atrium. If you want to see some action close-up then doing it by boat is best, they get really close. I know, because I've been on the committee boat with VHF in hand requesting them to give the racers room. I'll be there again this year, the best seats in the house are on the committee boats laugh

You can book through Aqua Mania. They have a web site that lists trips and prices. A fun thing to do.

He most definitely is still the captain. We rent our car from his sister Angela.
