Does anyone on here have a blog? A friend of mine is going travelling for 6 months and someone suggested that a blog wold be a good way of friends and family keeping up with her travels so she doesn't have to message everyone individually. It would also be a great record for her when she gets back.
What kind of platform is best for this? She doesn't want something that she has to do a lot with, she just wants it to be easy to use so she can just post photos etc on the go.
I had a little look around and there seems to be wordpress, blogger or this kind of thing 1&1
Any recommendations? Or any other advice in general about doing this kind of thing.

Thank you in advance smile

I have blogged on some of my past trips. The longest one was for about month. I use Blogger - a Google product. It is not hard to use and free. However I do not think it offers all the features as Word Press, etc...

If your friend just wants to have a go to place for friends and family to check in and follow along - Blogger will work fine. If they have aspirations of being a travel writer they probably should go with a more capable platform.

Here are a couple of mine:

They look great! I think that's the kind of thing she's after.
Thanks a lot, TomB smile
