Anyone know why the Delta flight aborted it's landing at 1:55 and landed at 2:15 ?

I heard it’s the unusual wind direction that is causing a crosswind that is affecting approaches.

Landing problem due to the rain and one went to Guadaloupe and the other one to Martinique. They both just returned.

Noth for nothing, but PJIA has got to be one of the shortest runways these big carriers have to land on!! That doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for error! Smart thinking on everyone's decision!!

Very unusual westerly winds prevailed yesterday, instead of the usual East or ESE winds. Planes usually land and take off into winds. It's difficult to land "with" the wind, hence arrival delays. There were also issues as CDG yesterday so Air France flights were very late to begin with.
