We are staying at Royal Islander for the first time. Is there parking? If so, is there a charge? TY

I've owned at the RI for 25 years. The parking is right across the street in a garage under La Terrasse. Four years ago it was $25 for a week. Well worth it as it's a secure parking garage, and parking in Maho can be problematic

Mia,

Yes pretty sure cost is as mentioned.
They provide you with a fab to open gate

Always feel safe parking.
We go in off season and always close to elevator spaces
Upstairs leads to La Terrasse Lobby

Ed, you have to be the only poster on here that loves the RI as much as I do. Twenty years without an increase in parking fees! And despite a couple of hurricanes over the years, never a "special assessment" by the RI. Of course the MF goes up a little every year, but what doesn't? And for $900 a week on the beach with a beautiful pool and a variety of restaurant options within easy walking distance - how do you beat that? I understand the time-shares aren't for everyone, but buying at the RI is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Now if the airlines and PJIA could just get their acts togegther ...

Love RI as well but sure miss Shirelle.
Wouldn't trade for any other place but we do enjoy additional weeks on the other side of the island.
Love the staff and John in maintenance

have to agree with Ed----Royal Islander is a cut above--when it comes to resort management ---many years spent there---as an owner --and guest ---sold our unit just before Irma----have sellers regrets now --in retrospect--.stayed there this past spring --excellent as always.

MIA,

A couple of years ago we rented two weeks in the same two bedroom unit on the top floor. We loved it and thought the RI to be just shy of perfect and possibly the best run TS on the island.

The only two glitches we encountered over the two weeks, knowing I was about to undergo knee and hip surgery, was the need to park underground across the street (but we were okay with paying to park….) and the other issue was the incessant clatter of the garbage trucks hitting the speed bumps on the main roadvery early in the morning. Woke us up about 4:30 or 5 am each day but others staying in other parts of the property said they never heard them.

If I couldn’t stay at BSV and could snag the same deal again, I’d do it in a heartbeat! I think you’ll be very happy there.

Respectfully,

pat

Tim....We're long time RI owners too, since 1992. We started with 1 week, added a second, then a 3rd and eventually a 4th....LOL I agree with your sentiments 100%....great location, wonderful staff and beautiful grounds. Unfortunately some of the long time staff have gone...we miss their smiling faces and great conversations. Although we were young when we first purchased our 1st week, we've never regretted our decision.....have to admit when we got home form our vacation [actually purchased just before going to the airport] I was thinking what did we do....LOL LOL
