We are returning after a five year hiatus and were wondering if any of the restaurants in the Orient Beach area are offering 1 USD = 1 Euro deals for cash payments? This was quite normal when we were last there but we were wondering if, post pandemic, that these offers were still on offer and if so, where? Looking forward to a couple of weeks of sand gravity!

Well, I must report otherwise... I am on Orient Beach at the moment and Kontiki charged 4e for a beer or 5usd. They said only Bikini has change so they round up ( 25%!!!!)
Now i would add Chez Leandra, OB, n Oloha did not mention an exchange rate today. Aloha was 9usd for a mohito tonight with live band.
Good luck...
ps Marigot market vendors said they will soon change exchange from 1:1 and the neary bakery is 1:1.10 fyi.

We were on the island from March 18 thru March 25. The Super U supermarket in Hope Estate was still offering one to one on cash payments. The Lolos in Grand Case were also offering one to one.
