Had breakfast at Zee Best. I love the consistency of food over the years. To my chagrin, no communal pastry basket since the pandemic. Have to order separately. Dominic the owner was not there. From there to Simpson Bay Medical Center, my wife had a cough. She went there thankfully only upper respiratory infection. She has very little malaise only a cough. Got drugs. Rested at timeshare. To reduce wear and tear, we went to Cabana restaurant for dinner. Had not done this for many many years. It was good not great but enjoyable and the service that night was fine. Off to go nighty night. We are old.

eilandmens==I think you are probably the only one who misses that communal basket!! Regardless of Covid, extremely unsanitary!!

Hope your wife feels better. Friends of ours got a upper respiratory infection also on island.

Are there new owners at Cabana restaurant? That restaurant has been awful for years.

In talking with a full owner at Royal Palm, it is my understanding it is the same owners at the Cabana but they have a daughter with culinary skills and that is who is in charge now. I was also told the new management company, Hilton, basically told the resort for it to be considered "5-star", the restaurant must meet certain standards as well or there would not be a restaurant. Most recent comments do indicate improvement, but it really could not have gone down too far from what it was previously.
