AA just came out with their fares for July 5th so booked ours to arrive Sat July 6th. Taking the redeye out of SEA to CLT to SXM Friday July 5th. Got a good fare at $1050.00 each one way for FC. Now to wait 3 weeks for the return.

I booked my outbound (June 7-8) for $867. I sure hope my return on July 15 isn't over $1,000! Are you suggesting your fare is good because it's around July 4?

I don't think July 4 had any thing to do with it. Arriving on a Saturday was the motivation. Most other fares for same day arrival and different itinerary were published at 3500 to 4300. I felt very comfortable with what I paid. Daughter and son-in-law booked theirs today also out of PDX-CLT-SXM for 50.00 more than we did each for FC. We'll meet in CLT to fly into SXM together. Not sure if we'll stay the full 3 weeks. Might fly back mid week depending on fares since we'll be there for 3+ weeks in May/June already. Might use miles for our return.
