There has been another visitor drowning, this time in the pool at Royal Islander La Plage. This happened Thursday, 6 Oct. Prayers for the woman who passed and for her family. Daily Herald story - drowning

This is beyond sad and ridiculous that the resort doesn't have full time lifeguards!!! I smell lawsuit!!!

Most resorts have no lifeguards. You are not in the US, good luck with a lawsuit. If a medical emergency was the cause of drowning (a tragedy regardless), even less anyone could do.

Are there ANY resorts with lifeguards on SXM?? Not that I know of. None on beaches either.
