Rainbows, boats and American Thanksgiving!

After a day at the beach we stopped off at the Yacht Club. A lot of the big boats haven’t arrived for the season yet but a pretty Catamaran motored past a rainbow making for a great picture while a local club was out teaching the next generation of sailors how it’s done.

Then it was off to a DK Gems dinner party hosted by Raj and Jeff at their beautiful home on the hill. In a touching tribute to their late father, they brought together their family and friends for a yearly celebration on American Thanksgiving. We met so many wonderful people including TTOLers Jazzgal and Indie. It was lovely to meet and talk to them after enjoying their posts all these years. Bighearted Don Patterson and the fabulous Jacky Rom from “It’s All About a Smile” were there along with Jeff’s travelling Foodie group and the Sunday Funday crowd. Out of respect for people’s privacy, I didn’t snap too many closeups but I can tell you the table was groaning with fabulous food, which included Jeff’s homemade duck dish, and the champagne was flowing as we celebrated being together with a very special family on our favourite island. What a night!

Ms Lurker - Thanksgiving is busy but the celebration was so much fun.

Teresa--I sure hope so!! Next year is kind of in flux, because of a number of things, so we don't have a trip booked to SXM next year yet! I'm kind of getting the shakes!
