Saturday brought high winds so we headed th Grande Case beach for the first time. We chose captain frenchys to spend the day. Chairs were comfortable and the view was great. The wind was down to a mild breeze on that side. We shared a couple of apps that were very good. The high point was the level of the cocktails….delicious!
Sunday took us to Anse Marcel for the day. A good friend had reserved chairs and lunch for us. The chairs there are very comfortable and the views are fabulous. Service from the beach guys was excellent as were the cocktails. I met Anna, the manager, when we went for our lunch. She is an absolutely lovely lady. I told get that Jeff(DK) had recommended lunch there and she took us to our own cabana. That was definitely more comfortable than sitting in the restaurant. The service was excellent with the whole staff helping. We had everything from tuna to snapper to octopus to lobster and we all agreed that it just couldn’t have been better. Photos are of calamari salad and lobster. I feel like a lightweight compared to some lobster lovers on ttol as I managed to stuff myself with an 850 gram serving. Can’t wait to do that again.

I can't tell, how many people did you have at AMBC? We have been able to have a cabana for just the two of us, but it was in the summer. The cabanas at AMBC are definitely a lovely experience. AMBC overall is expensive, but worth the money.

Enjoy!

So . . . Jeff invited me to a Sunday Funday on Sunday at Anse Marcel. Then it was moved to Orient because they drained the pond between the beach and the bay at AM, resulting in bacteria being released into the bay. Were you aware of this? Did you go into the water? Any idea when it will be safe to go into the water again?

I have sent AM a message asking about water safety, but no response yet.

Carol we were a party of four, but our favorite on island who is connected, made the reservation for us. Not sure if I could have made that happen at the last minute.
Jazzgal this is the first I have heard of the issue. We were in and out of the water all day. Hopefully there will be no repercussions.

bob--I suspect that's true, as they usually are very full on a Sunday.

I went again yesterday. Turns out, they didn't do the draining so water has been fine then and now. It was gorgeous yesterday - a perfect beach day.
