It has been reported on another forum that PV was closed, and the poster was told by their cab driver that it had closed permanently. Could anyone on the island now or recently confirm or refute this? It has been one of our two favorite breakfast places (along with La Croissanterie), and I hope it isn't the case.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

This would be the most awful news ever.

I drove by yesterday and there was a sign out front saying it was open. I'm SURE that my husband and I will get there this week and I will definitely confirm for you!

We had lunch there earlier this month. There were only two tables occupied that day.

We have been there several times when there were only 2 or 3 tables occupied. Maybe this was the same cab driver who tells his fares that he isn't allowed to drop them off at Pedro's, thus steering their business to where his buddy works. I'd like to post on that other forum that they are, in fact, still open - Lucy appreciates the business.

If we can stay awake after dinner, we would like to stop at Palm Dor for NYE, we will ask Marina. She would definitely know but I highly doubt Lucy is closing anytime soon...

I'm thinking Paradise View is still open as we had a wonderful time dancing with Lucy early this morning at Palm Dor. She pulled us onto the dance floor, she is one amazing dancer.
It's been a long time since I seen my friends at Palm Beach, the restaurant
has been redone since Gonzalo, my understanding is cruise-ship buses are not coming now.
A glass of champagne, dancing with Marina, Lucy, ZouZou & the Capt. Our friendship goes back many years & we need to get out more often!

Lucy was always so sweet to us when we ate at PV. It's been awhile since she emailed my husband. They had exchanged bus cards. Did Palm rebuild the free standing beach bar structure we so enjoyed sitting at late afternoons enjoying a cocktail and conversation with staff

Fabila,

You know it was late, I saw the bar on the beach, we were upstairs at the other bar, my feeling is they only open the upstairs bar in the late evening at Palm Dor.

The new design of the restaurant below is beautiful, I would have more
Information if I got to see it during the day.

I hope this information is helpful. smile

Lyn

Thanks to everyone! Breakfast at PV, seeing Lucy, her little girl, her dog, seeing Bernadine on the way out, visiting the shops (shoppes?) always makes for a great start to the day. I hope this driver didn't spread this falsehood too far.

My husband and I ate at Paradise view this morning for breakfast. I let her know that this cab driver had said that she was permanently closed. She said he must have thought they were closed since they closed for the month of September.

After breakfast, I had my fill of cat-petting and visiting Bernadine. She has a lovely new kitten who looks to be a flame point Siamese....Now to convince Michael to let me bring him home!
