I just got back from a quick trip. Sleepaboard with 3 nights out on the boat. Managed to break my personal record for getting underway. Arrived at the Moorings at 5:45 PM and we were off the dock at 7:30 on our way over to Norman for dinner on the WillyT. Riteway closed early so we had to run over to Bobbies to provision. First time in the store and while it was nicer then Riteway I felt Riteway has a better meat and lunchmeat selection and was perhaps cheaper.
We did 8 dives in 3 days so that was the focus of the trip. Once again UBS gets perfect marks for customer service and reliability. As mentioned in another thread moorings balls are once again taking a beating. I watched two get destroyed this trip and in both cases the party involved just kept on going after exploding the balls.
Cruise ships were everywhere!! On our return date on 16 Dec there were 4 large cruise ships in Roadtown. You could almost not walk for the crowds on the sidewalks. There was even a small cruise ship (Yorktown Clipper) anchored at the caves on Norman.
The weather was so so, lots of rain but very cool at night so you could sleep with the hatches closed. Overall a nice trip and we got 3 new divers certified. We also got in a night dive. For those that have not tried a night dive its a must do event. This time we dove at the Coral Gardens. Very easy and simple night dive yet lots to see!
