Trip Report ( a long one)<br>We arrived on Thanksgiving Day, uneventful flights and no turkey !!!<br>Got our Green Jeep from Unity Car Rental and drove thru Maho Plaza to our Villa at Cupecoy Beach Club. (only stopped once for a cold can of Caribe Beer). Whatta mess the street in front of Maho was, but it seemed that they were cleaning it up for the High Season. Then the FUN began: Sunset Beach Bar on Thursday night. Who do we run into on that first night? Jack…….from Mr. St. Maarten himself !!!!<br>SLIPP took her top off for a free glass of wine……(thanks Neil)<br>SLIPP bought me the coolest T-Shirt I have ever seen at the SSBB……Navy signal flags spell out a message on the back…….(pssst…..aint tellin you what it says) LOL<br>OK, here comes the “Funnies” KIPP lost the keys to the Villa and the Jeep on the first night there. Left them on a slot machine in the Atlantis Casino…….yes……we did get them back. 2nd day there we woke up to find a flat tire on the Jeep…..no spare tire…..they steal the spares I guess. SLIPP got all upset and said she is staying home instead of going to the beach. I said No WAY….we’ll go to the road and someone will drive by that we know. Two minutes on the road and a white taxi stops and asks us if we needed a lift. We said yes and he drove us to the beach. I asked him how much money and he said, “No Charge Mon……I did not take you dat far, trip was too short Mon”. No wonder they call it the “Friendly Island” !!!!!!<br>Sat night and SLIPP throws her first dinner party….we had 14 people over for her wonderful lasagna. SLIPP loves to cook and entertain……aren’t I lucky ??? <br>Then Mr. St. Maarten shows up and brings a bottle of wine and champagne….Thanks Jack !!!!!!<br>The 4th day we awake to find the air conditioner in the living room broken and not working. We tell Lizzette (our maid) and go to the beach. Arriving back home, we find a note stating that a brand NEW air conditioner will be installed in the morning….and a HUGE fruit basket on the counter from the owners for our “inconvenience”…..that was soooooooo nice. <br>Sunday night….Sunset Beach Bar….WILD !!!!!! almost overdosed on shooters Neil. <br>Danced at Cheri’s Café and had a wonderful dinner at Larosa Too…..Clams are still wonderful there…..thanks Enzo.<br>Next day we took lime jello in plastic champagne glasses to the beach. Bought some whipped cream and cherries. We got some curious stares while we shared them with friends….HAHAHAHAHAHA<br>Had dinner with 5 other Couples at Tutti Pasta…..never have been there before….but the meal was EXCELLENT. (Psssst…..the MatreD’ kisses every woman that walks in) <br>Mon. Tues. and Wed. nites…..back to the SunsetBeachBAr…..by now SLIPP knew all the barmaids by first name and they knew what we were drinking !!! Althea is much prettier than Neil though…..LOL<br>Dinner at Don Carlos on Thursday nite. We tried to get on the computer there but it was broke…..one of our friends ended up fixing the problem. Thanks Joel !!!!!!<br>Sat night was a REAL treat….we went to a Reggae Concert in Marigot…….Geez…..it was like a Jimmy Buffett Concert in Reverse…..No tailgate parties but the concert lasted till DAWN and everyone was partying !!!!!<br>We were at the SSBB almost every night. Might have paid Neil’s rent for December….LOL.<br>We went to Bai Rouge one day near the end of the trip and I left a cardboard box fulla beer in the jeep. Yea yea I know…..don’t ever leave anything in your car in St. Maarten that you don’t want stolen…..but I just didn’t want to carry it to the beach. 15 min later, a beach boy comes down with the box fulla beer and says to me, “Hey Mon, don leave dis in yer jeep…..someone gonna take it” LOL that was nice of him.<br>Had lunch twice at the Kangaroo Court in Phillipsburg. A friend showed us where it was as we had never been there before. Was EXCELLENT. Last lunch we had there was at the lolo called Talk of the Town in Grande Case. Was everything that everyone said good about it.
