Tuesday Morning went to Le Sucrerie for pastry. Chocolate almond croissants, pain au chocolat, regular croissants, and new I think, nuttela croissants all delicious. There are 6 of us so little was left over. Off to Pinel! Crowded but a pleasant day. In 2017, they used to rent snorkel gear, but not now. I guess because of COViD. The kids wanted go to pool after Pinel trip and parents needed to an easy evening, so we ate at the Cabana restaurant in RP. Ok but that’s what they wanted to do. We closed the place. We were the only ones there, which is not unusual.

Wednesday was going home day for our son and his family. For his wife it is her first time here since a cruise in her teens. She loved the island. My son and his kids have been here pre Irma. Rained most of day. Brought back 6 passenger explorer and got my standard puddle jumper for rest of our visit. My wife and I went to Skipjack’s for dinner. We had tried calling for reservations but they did not answer the phone. The hostess said they are too busy to answer the phone. ??? In any case we were seated and enjoyed our meal -Scallops for my wife and blackened grouper for me. Good as always.

Very windy Thursday baguette for breakfast spent the afternoon talking to friends. Went to La Cigale in Nettle Bay with friends for dinner. Excellent as always! My wife had seared tuna a special; I had duck confit; our friends had rack of lamb and beef filet all excellent. For appetizers three of us shared goat cheese with honey and nuts and one had lobster bisque en croute. For dessert my wife and I shared a soufflé grand mariner which took twenty minutes to make. Our friends each had delicious profiteroles. Great evening in beautiful setting;we were there close to 4 hours!

Hi. Thanks for the report. This past 10 days has been kind of sideways for me, so kind of missed your previous reports. thanks for posting.

Can't believe the kids wanted to go to La Cabana. Terrible restaurant. La Cigale sounds lovely. We've never been there, but the food sounds out of this world.

Great trip report! Thanks for sharing!! On the snorkel gear. "The scuba shop" on airport road rents everything for water sports! Kim is so nice too!!! I even bought a couple of boogie boards there in the past!!

Carol, you should try it. Always excellent. Very French. We were there 4 hours and not a server came bye to tap his/her foot for us to leave. of course the soufflé took 20 mins. after main course but worth the wait . About $100 per person with drinks and wine.

eilandmens--Is it possible to pre-order the souffle' when you order the meal? We have done that before at Tropicana.

Very nice trip report!

La Cigale’s soufflé is definitely worth the wait. It’s one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. And the ambiance at La Cigale is beautiful.

Yes, I believe it could be preordered, but in our case we did not know they had it until the dessert menu was given.

Ah La Cigale, what great memories. Don't know if they still have it, but their foie gras soup was just incredible with a 2011 Sauternes. Hoping this year. Which brought make another extraordinary memory in 2014, just found a photo of us, at Le Santal, probably one of the prettiest restaurants we have ever been to in the Caribbean, with views over Anguilla over 4th of July with the fireworks going off. Sensational meals and unfortunately got ripped apart like so many others with the hurricane. Managed to find a few links from the past..at night, was just fantastic as could see the stingrays in the water.....Anyone managed to go there in the past?

Found it........and the waiter in the pics always looked after us...but the pics just don't do it justice.
