I noticed at the Century 21 website under discussions of residency it seems to say a USA citizen can visit and work up to 6 months without a permit. ?? According to some treaty.

For those who know things for sure, is that true and does anyone know of any kind of short term gigs companies on the island might want fully physically/mentally able retirees for a few months?

Thanks

Yes, Americans can indeed work on the Dutch side without having to apply for a work visa; while Europeans need to do so. But that also means that many Americans come and take advantage of that - which means good jobs are hard to find and those are invariably in the service sectors (and don't pay particularly well). Most such jobs are found by word-of-mouth at local haunts and not on websites or elsewhere.

Correct and only the young progressive ones go down that lane . But have a young friend has done that because he is a totally educated Chef and he is at a top of line restaurant on the French side . One love for him .No name lol.

We have always debated going for months and wondered if it was even possible without a lot of paperwork. I guess it is if you stumble upon an employer. Hawk tshirts on the beach haha
