You beat me by 4 years. And whose house was that with the sliding roof? The best food. And racing with Presley King when we were all so young trying to and occasionally beating Doc Tattersall. So much has changed.
@calsail -- I have been asking for quite awhile if anyone else remembers dining up the hill from the Moorings , way back then, at that house with the sliding roof. The owner used to pick us up at the marina, the food was excellent West Indian cuisine and we went there for a few years. Maybe some of the old Moorings captains would remember the particulars. I still think of the checkerboard of varying green plots on the Tortola mountain sides. The parties wherever 'Flying Cloud' spent the evening were legendary!
Just back from our first trip to Tortola since 2013. We went regularly until then, and here are a few of our great memories not mentioned in this thread.
The ring toss game at Stanleys. Our daughters loved to play and drink Ting. (Loved the tire swing and cheeseburgers in paradise too!)
The 4 door convertible at Smugglers Cove, and Bob’s great stories and pictures of the Queen. He also had an honor bar.
Reuben Chinnery playing at Bananakeet. Great music, I bought one of his CD’s will play it in my old car.
