Huh. Well I guess maybe they decided the name was too confusing??

I believe it's just been renamed to eliminate the confusion between them and Dinghy Dock.

Georgia--great minds! Honestly, I thought they should have done more research on SXM before they named it the same as their place on STT.

Now we have D's Beach Bar and Captain D's or whatever it's called now.

I was thinking that or maybe a letter from the lawyer might have percipated the name change.....

That's also a possibility. I know Dinghy Dock was upset about the similarly in the names.

It's called Captain's Rib Shack, so that's not an issue.

OK. Originally it had a D in the name like Captain D's or something like that.

Scuba yea - and what is so strange as in the Daily Herald it is referred to as Captain D’s Rib Shack. It is owned by Dino Arrindell

Well I had the same feeling. I could have sworn that sign said “Captain D’s”!!! Maybe it did at one point.
Captain D’s is a US chain so wonder if it was copyright infridgement stuff 🤷‍♀️

That location has been a lot of different names in recent years probably doesn’t matter business wise. Still the same. Seems odd they didn’t think about that before opening so maybe it the original dinghy bar made them change it for legal reasons?

So does that name change mean that all the money I spent this year on their T-shirts, tankers and my hat make them collectable items? Just asking. . Just wondering how many suitcases to bring next trip
