Just booked a redeye on AA out of SEA to MIA to SXM arriving 1:20 Saturday May 10. Yesterday first class was 3,000 each one way. This morning 887.00. Adopted for a 2 hour layover instead of the 45min earlier flight since we wouldn't be able to check in that early in our timeshare. Now I'll book our return with miles in July sometime.

Yeah, those first two or three days that flights are first posted are ridiculously priced! I usually wait a few days also.

Wow, congratulations on snagging that amazing deal on the first class ticket! Going from $3,000 to $887 is a steal! I'm sure the 2-hour layover will be worth it, especially considering you wouldn't have been able to check in early at the timeshare anyway. Looking forward to hearing about your trip to SXM! And smart move on booking the return with miles in July, can't wait to hear about that too!

Now it's back up to 1260.00 whether I connect through MIA or CLT. Glad I booked when I did.
