I am not one for much of a trip report, but here goes. Paulette and I (Clem)had a wonderful time this year in SXM. We met some or our returning friends like Andy and Susan, Johnny Carib and Toby, Jackie and Melcome, Marion and Terry, Pat, Jerry, Kevin and Marilyn, and others, and new friends like Deb and Pat, Jowel and Lois, Bill and Karen, and many others. Johnny Carib and his guitar got us going on the beach. (We didn't get shut down this time by security) We went back to some of our favorite restaurants like Tuta Pasta, Sol a Luna, Bananas,Greenhouse, and others. Going down, we had a 5 hour lay over in San Juan, but that was even great. We left the airport and had dinner at Ruth Chris Steakhouse ( one of our favorites) and watched the Patriots playoff at the bar at the top of the El San Juan Hotel. The time flew by. We got into Saint Martin around 11p.m. and Marius was there waiting with our car. The weather was fabulous and more fabulous when you compare the 2 1/2 feet of snow we got in Rhode Island through the time were gone.Our place in Nettle Bay Beach Club is working out great. Some days were windy on the beach, but we can't complain. There is plenty of beach front now, more than I have seen for years. Coming back on A.A. we even made our flight in San Juan which we have missed on the two previous times. There is only one hour in San Juan to get baggage, go through customs and board another flight.
