Hello, new to the forum. Next June 2025 I am planning a stay on St. Thomas and was hoping to end it with a 3 night BVI catamaran charter. Does anyone know if three nights is an option and if so, any recommendations on what companies offer this? Ideally out of St. Thomas or St. John but Tortola works as well.

Thanks
Steve

A 3 night charter out of St Thomas is going to be time compressed if you go to the BVI. If you can find a 3 day charter in the USVI spend it going around St John. I suspect however you will find three nights difficult to book as the turnaround costs for the boat eat any potential profit. It’s always worth trying because you might fit a hole in a boats charter schedule perfectly. Expect to pay extra however over the normal daily rate.

I know BVI Yacht Charters offers 10-day deals in the low seasons, which might lend itself to an orphaned few days between more “standard” charters times. They’re based in Road Town, Tortola, but I think they can organize boats out of USVI as well. They’re very helpful over there, could be worth an email

There’s nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

A hundred years ago, when we operated a crewed charter boat in the BVI, we would never consider a 3 day charter in-season. WAY too much hassle during a hectic charter season, regardless of whether it would fill a void. But.... in the off season we would do day charters, and shorter charters - really anything to keep the cash flowing. Back in our day June was off-season. Now not so much. I would recommend contacting the BVI Charter Yacht Society. https://www.crewedyachtsbvi.com/ They might be able to refer you to a yacht that would fit the bill!
