We enjoyed a lovely lunch at D’s yesterday. Friendly staff and service.

Asian Salad with Shrimp and a Jerk Chicken Sandwich. Both lunches were very good.

The ocean was calm enough for me to swim in!

We were charged $10 for an umbrella and were told it’s a “new policy”. The umbrella was of great quality.

10 is still a good deal with the loungers being free if that's still the case.

That’s surprising that they’re charging for an umbrella’s
Especially going into low season ,,,Seems like a bad business move when Kaarkter and Marys Boon still gives them for free. I know that beach equipment is not cheap and always breaking so I do kind of understand.

Anyone know what's going on with their on line cameras? Note says for "test purpose only" . No picture.

Would appreciate if someone could post a picture of their menu, as it seems like they must have more offerings than are on their website.

On our spring trip, we were there a lot!! The food is really good beach bar food and then some!!! The drinks come in glassware in the restaurant!! I like that!! Heather the manager is on top of everything!!! It's gaining traction, lots of events are being held there, and nighttime bands and activities too!! Don't you worry, can't hear none of that at BSV!! You know, we are unit#1!!! It was nice to be able to walk over for lunch and drinks, so close by!!! ( picture: Grilled tuna salad)

I agree.
Looking at the post lunch with a couple of glasses of wine cost them minimum $53 plus gratuity and they have to pay 10 bucks for a sun umbrella ?
What surprises me even more is charging at a place that isn't the easiest to get to - either a long walk up the beach dodging the waves or a drive around the airport perimeter.
We found the place okay but the rap music was far too loud and intrusive.

There are plenty of places that you can sit without having to pay for an umbrella. I don't agree that it is hard to get to. At least there is plenty of parking. But rap music?? At what time and what day?

Lunchtime.
Last November.
It wasn't that busy so I'm surprised they're now charging for an umbrella even if you have lunch.
Good luck to them but as a previous poster mentioned Marys Boon doesn't and it was very busy. Music was very chilled too.

Interesting. I've been numerous times and never heard rap music.

The music can be loud there if dining in the restaurant area. We have had to ask them to turn the volume down in order to hear others talk at the table.
