I was in St. Martin for a couple of nights and returned to "Le Marocain" in Marigot for dinner and it was incredible as always - you get transported into Morocco once you enter the door and the quality of food and pricing are awesome. Last night was at Ocean 82 and the food was well-presented and perfect; I can't recommend this restaurant enough. I did my sommelier exam years ago and the wine cellar there is the best I've seen in the Caribbean. I don't often splurge on a Grand Cru but this time I did and we had a great bottle with dinner.
I should add that I'm about to depart on an 18+ day journey from SXM to Horta in the Azores on a sailboat, and I'll be cooking so this last meal was an important one to show me what can be done... I've got some SPAM recipes and 14 days of emergency MREs aboard in case my cooking isn't up to scratch.

Fairwinds and following seas. Thanks for the info a few months back about anchoring in the lagoon. Give us a trip report if able.

I'm not single-handing on this one, I'm on a friends boat. It is a Robertson & Caine Leopard 4600 and we are 2 people. We sailed to St. Kitts yesterday to drop someone off. The plan was to leave this morning, but the weather isn't great (we'd need to motor too much), so we are postponing to Saturday (the boat owner doesn't want to start a voyage on Friday). We have lots of steaks and meats, emptied out the cheese selection at Carrefour, and went to Bacchus for other essentials such as Confit du Canard and wine. We plan on 18 days passage time.

Very envious. Should be a great trip.
