Some friends wanted to go there so we joined them. We were the first ones there at 7 and place was half full when we left in main area and nobody in entrance area. Food was just OK. Reminiscent of Olive Garden back home. SC added to the bill and when paying by card machine asked for tip. That and asking for a review on TripAdvisor was a turn off. One and done. Guest felt the same.

I think it is under new ownership so maybe not to speed yet. But honesty a lot of good sxm restaurants don't have the best service or prompt. Island time.

When we were there in March this year the waitress told us that if we give her a good review on TripAdvisor she would get a bonus?? Didn't sit right with me. Plus S/C added. Won't go back.

I walked in when I was there in August, and it was empty. Reviews have been mixed at best. The pushing of TripAdvisor is not something I care for either.

We ate there a few years ago under old owner, I assume since it was stated here "under new owner" and we left 3/4 of our food. Hubby said sauce (gravy?) tasted like they had opened a can of Campbells tomato soup.

Sounds like one I can cross off my "one of these days" list. Thanks for sharing.

I don't write many bad reviews because I realize most everyone can have an off night. Or, I may not like the dish I ordered but had I ordered something else, I might think it is fabulous. With that said, we went twice in the early days of Izi and were not impressed. The sauces were extremely bland. Very few spices and little garlic. It tasted like a cheap jar sauce I would buy in the US. We never went back.

For me, the down side to Izi, in addition to the lackluster food, is the fact that I feel like I'm in a restaurant in the US. I much prefer an island vibe when I'm on the island!
