We had lunch at Tortuga today. I had a Caribbean Lobster Salad, and Marc had a chicken club sandwich. Both were delicious.

The hostess was nice enough to snap our picture, just as the KLM jet was flying in.

A favorite place of ours. They have upped their game with the food. And you can't beat the view.

Glad you had a great meal!! We had dinner there last month. Everything was so good!! But make reservations in advance. Tortugo cafe is catching on!!! Who ever took that shot could not have timed that out any better!! That's a screensaver for sure!!! ( picture: grilled duck, to perfection!!)

Had lunch at Tortuga yesterday. The mahi mahi burger was outstanding. One of the best fish sandwiches I have ever had.

I don’t like paying to park either, but the Maho parking garage only charges $1.00 per hr. Our parking fee was only $2.00. I think the first 1/2 hr is free

Bobby’s Marina Lot in Philipsburg is $2.00 per hour. Between stopping at Juggie’s, DK Gems and having lunch, that parking fee adds up a little.

So true. We paid 10.00 for 5 hours of parking at Bobbies yesterday after dropping a bunch in town.

DK has valet parking, and don't the restaurants comp some of your parking at Bobby's? Still such a small investment in the overall scheme of things. For me, convenience is worth a bit of cost.

After all these years, I didn’t realize that DK Gems provides valet parking. Thank you for the info.

And we really don’t mind paying the parking fee at Bobby’s Marina, as it is convenient and secure.

Laughing GK, about DK. Some of the most expensive free parking and free cocktails on island! I sure will miss going in November! We have not used the Valet at DK, I would guess that you would let them know when you are arriving and not just show up.

Parking just isn't very expensive anywhere on island, just limited in a lot of places which is more of an issue. I would much rather pay for a convenient location than search for a spot and walk a distance.

Paying for parking is the norm here in the NYC and Westchester county NY area!! It ranges from 5 to $50.00 for a few hours!!! So paying a few bucks for parking in Maho is NOTHING!!! For the conveniences, no problem!!

David--well, thankfully for US, we don't live in NYC.. And paying for parking in SXM, is thankfully for us, is very much the exception, still.

We usually park for free just past the Maho clinic. Always spots available.

most of the time you can find parking on the street near driftwood/tortuga. Especially during the day.

I'd schedule a lunch on a day where there was no ships in and park by Driftwood!!! The other times, we got lucky that we found street parking in front!!!
