Hello!
I am considering relocating in Eastern Europe, more specifically in Romania. I've been researching and saw that they have really low corporate taxes (1-3%), but I am trying to find more insights into the country itself. Does anyone have any experiences?

My wife and I just returned from a Viking cruise to the Eastern European capitals with a three-day stopover in Romania. Surprisingly, we liked the country very much, especially Transylvania and the city of Brasov. Romania is a compilation of pre-communistic (until 1989) economy when everything was gray, to a vibrant city. Lots of modern buildings near the old Stalinist buildings. Plenty of outdoor restaurants, and an interesting history, Of course, the Carpathian Mountains are spectacular, second only the Swiss Alps. Can't speak knowledgeably about its economy, but there are a lot of "haves" and "Have Nots"{. The people are very friendly and proud. I would certainly do some economic research before moving over there and spend a couple of week or so exploring the country. Their government is pro-growth, but that has multiple meanings. Good luck and please share your knowledge on this forum.
