We’ve essentially achieved a state of Zen and settled into our normal pattern. Lunch is our big meal of the day, a swim or two is a daily necessity, and I’m on a carb watching regimen, so subbing veggies for starch, and cutting way down on bread and croissants. Oh, I’m now taking daily walks on the beach.

The temperatures are pleasant, with a mix of sun and clouds, brief showers, a nice breeze, and the sunsets kinda undramatic. Water temp is probably around 85.

Wednesday’s lunch was at Le Taitu, where I had the pork loin in a mustard sauce and Mrs. Cruzer had her usual chicken breast in a blue cheese sauce (extra sauce, please). Picked up some cheeses, chorizo, and dates at Bacchus’s Epicerie, and some other essentials at Super U.

Thursday’s lunch was at Le Bistro Nu. We split the smoked tuna/trigger fish entrée, Mrs. C had a Ceasar Salad, and I opted for the Tuna Tartar off the specials board. I was allowed to sub a vegetable medley for the white rice, and very pleased with that. Arthur is a very accommodating host. I’d also brought a big of kibble for the resident cats, who told me they hadn’t eaten in weeks, if not months, but Mrs. C. saw them dining at the outside tables. Cats Lie! But they devoured the food in mere seconds.

I had some Bouchot mussels for dinner at Sunset Cafe. I haven’t had them for a while, and they were as tasty as ever. I forgot to take pictures.

Life is very pleasant.

Today we’re off to Champagne, and tomorrow is Le Tropicana (if they’re open)

And at Carol’s request, I have some pictures of the new, upstairs bar.

Enjoy your Independence Day.

If Tropicana isn't open try Be Kool across from it. We liked it better than Trop.

Be Kool is closed on Saturdays, but Alize is our Marina back-up now. It's more elegant than Le Tropicana or Be Kool, and, IMO, the food is just as good.

Thanks for the bar photos at GCBC.

Question, the photo with all the open tiled space, will they have music and dancing? lol

Cruzer, Le Bel Epoch (sp?) in the marina is supposed to be very good. Francoise from Donna & Pascal's restaurant ( can you believe the name escapes me right now), and a brief stint at Bistrot Caraibes ,works there and also displays his photographs there too.

No real plans for music and dancing. That's not to say there won't be any for special occasions (when I leave??).

We've tried them and we both like it. Won't need them today as Le Tropicana did respond. I'm kind of hooked on their black truffle sandwich

Wonderful report and beautiful pictures. Enjoy your trip!

I’ll have to put Le Bistro Nu on our list for next year’s visit. It’s been a while since we’ve dined there, and we love the food and ambiance (indoor and alley).

It's in the Marina Royale in Marigot. Had a Fabulous meal there in March.

Piazza Pascal was in Grand Case (long gone). La Belle Epoque is in the marina in Marigot.
