I haven't ever been to Kraken in Simpson Bay, but I'm curious about the quality of their raw oysters. Who's tried them?

If oysters are kept refrigerated and covered with a damp cloth they will keep at least a week. Do it in RI frequently.

Wish I could eat them. Used to have them raw, bbqed in the shell, stewed and fried. I don't dare as my system can't handle even a bite now. Shucks. Play on words. LOL

Well, ate a lot of them in college. But had a retired relative living in Florida die from them so they are off the menu. Vibrio vulnificus https://www.cdc.gov/vibrio/prevention/vibrio-and-oysters.htmlIf somehow you are susceptible in your old age, 1 in 5 die from vibrio infection. Organ failure and flesh eating doesnt sound so appetizing anymore. Those with cirrhosis of the liver are highly susceptible.
