I see a post for say car rental, and I know in just a moment one person consistently will pimp out, SAX, AAA, Hertz, etc. This is common with multiple items on island, so maybe we all should just put all the companies we pimp on our profile so we don't have to waste as much time making the statement over and over. There is the one guy that could just put "who ever pays me to pimp them". Yes, I find this hilarious, but why not!

Full disclosure, I am not really a pimp.

I pimp DK Gems, The Palms, Lal's, La Chingona, Dany's at Cupecoy and Friars Bay Beach Club !

There are a few folks here who would have far fewer posts!

I find this post interesting, should people not give out recommendations when someone asks for lets say, where to rent a car or where to eat on the island? Isn't that the point as forums such as this? 🤷

I'm sure Todd's post was made in jest, however, I find that many times a post with a specific question about a car rental agency, restaurant, resort, etc., is answered with a post pimping another's favorite. Yes, if I ask for a recommendation, I want just that. If I ask if anyone has experience with ABC car rental, I don't want to hear about how wonderful DEF is. Just my two cents...

I can see even getting shirts that have the places that you are pimpin' like they do with auto race teams, granted you don't want to wear a Toppers shirt if you are going to be at the Palms like some guy I know!

I am laughing, making fun of myself as well as Scubaman and Colour1 and others. It does however get annoying when a specific question is asked and rather than answer the question it becomes a pimpin' session.

Have a great week, and I do want to add that if you have not tried La Chingona you owe it to yourself to give it a try! lol

La Chingona is in Jordan Village. Todd can give you a more detailed description, as I've only been there twice, and am never the driver. I can confirm that they have excellent Mexican food!

I feel like I am hijacking my own thread, was not intended to be anything but funny and not to be a thread about a specific place, but since CaribLee is asking!

As GK stated, La Chingona is in Jordan Village, around the corner from Fat Tony's towards the medical school. Guessing 75% plus of their business is to go, order at the window, but there is some seating available. If you have ever been out on the West Coast in a rural area where there is a food truck or small restaurant and 80% or more of the customers speak mostly Spanish, it reminds me of that authentic food. Owners are awesome people, their food just keeps getting better and better with new additions to the menu. Craving it now, guess I am off to the local taco truck today!

Have a great weekend, wish I was "on island".

Thanks Todd. We should be on island in 24 days. Might give it a try.
