We saw several of these big generators plopped around — mostly French side I think. One was at the school (ecole) after you come down the big hill out of Marigot towards grand case.
Did the school buy or get one? Or is the island just prepping for disasters?

I would think it's just being pro-active. Just like most resorts have them.

Probably but they are at the roadside/sidewalk area as opposed to nicely positioned next to a building. Not sure they were hooked up to anything as we buzzed by.
