I anyone on this forum experiencing any flight interruptions due to this strike getting to or retuning from SXM with connections?

Just read the Canadian Government has ordered binding arbitration and ordered everyone back to work under the old contract while this plays out.

The back to work order said that employees are to return to work at 2 pm today, Sunday.
Well this morning the union president ripped up the back to work order and said the employees are not returning to work.

Not something that would normally be an issue for MJ and I, but our unofficially adopted Japanese daughter and our grand daughters will be here from Tokyo and if they go on strike they would have to stay longer. Kind of like getting stuck on St Maarten, we hope it happens!
Disclaimer - we would feel for those negatively affected but more time with them would be welcome.

Air Canada and the union have reached a negotiated tentative agreement last night (Monday night). They will begin to resume operations today but this may take 7 to 10 days to be fully operational because crew and planes need to be repositioned around the globe.
