Does anyone have any experience with IMG travel insurance? For years I've purchased the Jetaway medical evacuation insurance as they were apparently the only ones who would guarantee getting you home to your own doctors. However, now it appears that IMG is offering similar service as part of a larger package of insurance (trip interruption etc) and at a significant savings. It sems too good to be true - so I'm wondering.

I have purchased IMG through Insure my Trip and that company always seems to come up when I do searches for comprehensive insurance. That company gets good ratings on there. But, the proof is kind of in the pudding when you have to make a claim, which I haven't had to, thankfully.

Do yourself a favor and read through the reviews for different companies before choosing.
Check out the sponsor sites here and look at squaremouth.com.Sift through them to find what you really want for coverage.

Thanks Bob. Been doing that but 'm really only looking for med evacuation that will get me back to Boston. For years now, Jetaway has been the only one that offers that. But as I've aged, they have gotten more expensive (fair enough - old people are probably more likely to need it!) so I started to look around. All other companies only seem to promise evacuation to a facility that THEY deem appropriate, and I keep imagining getting treated by a witch doctor somewhere in the Brazilian jungle lol. But IMG offers a "hospital of your choice" so I'm seriously considering them. But their prices are significantly lower than Jetaway, and just seem maybe too good to be true. Anyway, I'm going to try to reach them by phone to get further clarification
