JetBlue has announced a new route: Nonstop service between Ft. Lauderdale (FLL) and St. Maarten (SXM).

"To celebrate the airline’s 113 peak daily flights from Fort Lauderdale later this year, customers can now enjoy fares starting at $113 or less from Fort Lauderdale to any of the 46 nonstop destinations JetBlue will serve this fall." Get 'em while you can.

Bill--it's technically not "new", as they were flying from FLL to SXM a few years ago, and then discontinued the flight. I am excited for any new flights from Florida though, to try to keep AA's prices in line.

When they were flying a few years ago, I connected a few times from Boston. It can get a bit chaotic with all the cruise ship passengers. But still far far better than Miami.

Tim--there's an easy answer for that--don't fly on the weekends!!
