In preparation for a late June trip, just wondering if there are mooring balls (or just one) available just offshore from the restaurant? If so, is there an identifiable channel available? Last time down while eating we saw a yacht moored about 50-100 yards offshore. Any info appreciated.

There are no mooring balls in the area in front of Coco Maya. There is room for a couple of catamarans in the area that you are referring to, but it is anchor only. The approach to the anchorage is unmarked, shallow, and redlined by most (if not all) charter companies. Most likely, the vessels you saw in there were crewed.
Your options will be Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor, or Leverick (in the North Sound) where you will need to rent a car (or take a taxi).
