May is my wife and I Farwell Tour since first visiting in 1979 to Land Based Virgin Gorda with a soft
spot in our families heart for all these years. Is it best to buy the air seats now (from Los Angeles) or wait a few months? Also is Cape Air reliable on morning schedules from SJU these days? Any advise is really
appreciated. Thank You

Cape Air is the most reliable option for getting into the EIS airport.

Cape Air is reliable, but very expensive. Tradewinds is also good, but expensive. Both fly from San Juan to VG. You may wish to compare to American. You could fly direct to Miami, and connect to Tortola, then take the ferry to VG from Trellis Bay. American can get you from LAX to Beef Island in under nine hours.

Thank you and although Cape Air can be expensive, does the SJU- VIG RT morning flights get
re-routed to EIS in the Summer months or late Spring. What do you both think ?

Have you flown into Taddy Bay? It's not for everyone. I don't know how often they get rerouted. Another option to consider would be flying United to STT, which you could to with one stop in Chicago. If you did it on a Saturday, you could take Speedy's directly to VG. Or take a water taxi.
