Arrived home last night to snow in Philly. Funny to see a thread about the noise. We were stunned by the loud and late noise from La Bamba on Sunday night. By most people's standards, that was excessive, regardless of whether or not the music was to your liking. Conversely, we went to the Eric Stone concert on Saturday at BBB which was not nearly as loud and was for a limited time. Scott

La Bamba ended music at 11:00 last night due to a "curfew" allegedly imposed on them.

We stay at the Royal Palm weeks 6-8. Once or twice we have been there for the Heiniken Regatta. The noise from the last evening of festivities going most of the night and earlymorning hours, at Kim Sha Beach, was mind baggling! Never again for us. The Royal Palm was literally shaking. Some units were uninhabitable that evening and ours was one of them.

Regatta is noisy at RP for sure, but it's only one weekend a year. Used to be only one night on Kim Sha, this year will be two nights, but that is still a much different thing than every Saturday and/or Sunday night throughout the year.

Agree with your Toppers statement. Toppers food is desend but their singing at the bar and thru the resturant is super loud.
Not worth eating there will the singing is so loud.
Lower is fine in our oppinion.

I actually enjoy the music late at night. It is fun to sit on the balcony with a cocktail and listen to the music and the sound of the waves. If you go to bed early, I guess it could be a problem.

Yes, you are right about the Regatta, Carol. But this year, nightly, we heard the same music everyone else is hearing, from La Bamba. It was earlier, from about 11pm, but it wasn't so bad that we couldn't get to sleep eventually. I don't know when that hospital is supposed to be built next to the Royal Palm, but if is built, I have a feeling that some of this noise will end, abruptly and permanently.

You know, if that hospital couldn't get pushed through before, somehow I think it has less chance now. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />
