You may now carry liquids more than 100 mL in your carry-on bag if:
You are traveling internationally into the United States with a connecting flight, they are in transparent containers, you bought them at a duty-free shop, and the store packed them in a secure, tamper-evident bag.
If your liquids are not in a secure, tamper-evident bag, you must pack them in your checked bag.
If the liquids alarm during screening, we will need to screen them further.
Sounds to me like we can bring booze home if we buy it at the airport and it is in the correct packaging

For the second year in a row we purchased 3 bottles of liquor at the airport duty free=they pack them in a tamper proof plastic bag approved by TSA-they cannot be opened. We hand carried the TSA bag through Charlotte where TSA opened the bag and checked the bottles-they reseal the bag with TSA tape and we boarded our connecting flight no problem.
