Charlies in Moorings is Okay, but a 15 min walk will get you to The Dove, The Cab, Origin so it all depends how far you want to walk.

The dove is worth the walk. Make sure it's open before heading out. I think they are closed Sunday and Monday.

I'm glad you asked this- I had the same question. I would love to try The Dove, but with 6 kids don't think that would be a good idea. Capriccio looks more our speed. Any other good spots close walking distance to Moorings?

No, there isn't. If you want to take the dinghy, you can always go to Village Cay.

if you dinghy to Village Cay, your dining options will be much greater with in a short walk

My suggestion? Go back to Capriccio!

next to Capriccio is Le Grand Cafe, pretty good and reasonably priced. There is a restaurant right at Village Cay, no great but it has a nice bar menu and large screen TV.

Winterstale- I know you asked Mal but I will throw in my 2 cents and tell you we really like Sharky's. Good food, service, and prices in a very relaxed atmosphere. Generally a nice cool breeze on the upper deck where they are located. Happy Hour from 5 to 7 offers half price pizzas which is an excellent deal! Cappriccio is also great and we love it there but we go to Sharky's for some variety.

Thanks - appreciate it! Our group will need to eat out for our sleepaboard night - (translation: we don't want to cook that night - LOL) and there's really no place within walking distance of BVI Yacht Charters. So - we're going to cab it to either Capriccio or Sharky's, depending on what everyone is up for.

I wonder if that is the same Sharkey's Cabtina as the one in Martha's Vineyard? That was where we ate our first night in MV this summer with the same family we are coming with to the BVI. Maybe it will become a first night of vacation tradition! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />
