Try this one more time... Been back one week from what was an outstanding trip. Took family of 6 adults. Stayed at Oyster Bay Beach Resort, nothing short of outstanding, both personnel and guests. Enjoyed more than can say, stayed at other timeshares, nothing holds a candle to this one. 1st nite meal at Mr. Busbys outstanding food, however service somewhat lacking. Could deal with that given location and atmosphere. Pizza at LeFrigate, very good. Most outstanding meal: Yvettes in Orleans, hands down. Highly recommend. People truely outstanding as was the food. Family of 6 ate for $100 and left food on the table. Kind of hard to find if not familiar with that side of island, kind of down dirt road off of main. Look for sign next to Gess station, turn left if coming from Oyster Pond. Boys had drinks at Captain Olivers but no food, enjoyed their time there. Of course had ribs at Pedros, memories were not lacking as it was good as ever. So was Mrs. Bs, in fact disappointed that couldn't eat there last day, she had run out of food, good for her, bad for us. Kids loved Fish Pot in Grand Case, had to experience that with them. Unfortunately most disappointing was Tabby Kaddy. Great place and owner worked hard but food was just somewhat lacking, left disappointed in only the food. Kids did Rhino Ride, thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately weather was a problem only in that it limited our sea adventures but did not slow us down on land.
Had connecting from ORD thru Miami, no problem with 50 min. lay over on way down, but 2 hrs on way back was not close to enough. AA was a disaster. Held us from making plane (along with several other people connecting on other planes), then forced to stand in line for (no lie) 2 1/2 hrs to make re-arrangements. Finally got out of Miami next day, thru Detroit to ORD. Whole think a nightmare, one example, had not been given breakfast vouchers as went 1st class to Detroit and told we would receive breakfast, 3 did 3 didn't, had 6 breakfasts available for roughly a full 1st class (20?). Had not eaten since noon at Peg Leg Pub day before. Which by the way had outstanding burgers. Really enjoyed as we are beef people and was starting to crave red meat.
