We are planning our first trip to St. Maarten at the end of April and are looking for a recommendation on where to watch the best sunset with some delicious drinks? We'd like to follow it with dinner at a fabulous restaurant with great atmosphere close by, so would love recommendations for that as well. We are option to food options, but love seafood, Italian and steak. Thanks!

SeaStar said: Is Paradise View open every night for dinner? I was under the impression it was a breakfast/lunch spot. We usually have breakfast at our place and lunch on the beach...might be worth checking out for dinner. Can you post more info regarding their dinners? Would love to hear from other folks as well. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/thanks.gif" alt="" /> I am pretty sure they are only open on Friday and Saturday for dinner. The menu is pretty good and reasonable. Check their menu on line. We go often for the atmosphere and our friends that are there on Saturday nights. Lucy and Laurent are the owners and cousins of Marina and Coco from Palm Beach. It's not high brow but more down home. I doubt many on here have been for dinner. For lunch, don't be turned off if you see a ton of busses parked . The bus people don't come into Paradise View except to sneak into the bathroom when they think Lucy is not watching but she sees them! LOL The view during the day is awesome and there is always a delightful cool breeze.

Would agree with seeing the sun set from SSBG, however, I think the Le C Lounge is now closed. If you want to wander over to the Maho Village side, Le Moulin Fou is a nice restaurant, it's just behind Cheri's Cafe.

My suggestion would be Calmos Cafe in Grand Case--great drinks, feet in the sand, watch the sunset with a view of Anguilla, and then your pick of some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean, just steps away..

When we're at Divi March/April we can't see it either; that's why we go to Grand Case at least once on the trip for sunset. When we stay at GCBC we watch it from our balcony---but still haven't seen the green flash.

There are many places to view amazing sunsets on the island. Some of our favorite are the Dream Pool Bar in Maho, the beach at Cupecoy, Kim Sha Beach in Simpson Bay,The Flamingo Resort,Any water location in Grand Case and the list goes on. You will see many beautiful sunsets on this island! Enjoy!
