We are at Caliente now. We are staying in one of the 'Casitas': a very nice little unit -- very much like a house trailer with a couple of rooms added on: a sun room and a screen porch. The place is very well built, well furnished and it has been serviced well. It has been a bit cool (highs in the mid 60's, lows in the 40's) and that has kept the crowds down and clothes on most people. The resort is, as the other posters have said, almost exactly not like PL. It is also not a lot like Club O. It is also not very well represented by its own web site. Most of the facilities are accessed through the main entrance of the clubhouse, which looks like a hotel lobby. There is a sports bar at one end, a resturant (the Cafe Ole), a piano bar and a nightclub. The sports bar has seating on the deck outside as well as inside. The resturant takes reservations, but so far none have been really necessary. It is well furnished: this is a way it is much different from Club O with its plastic chairs. It almost seems inappropriate for a nudist place, but the staff doesn't blink an eye when we come in naked. In fact that is one way in which this place is different from Club O. No double takes or stares. And, while there are fully dressed people around it does not seem sleazy like PL (we have been there too). There are other outstanding features of the place. The staff runs a shuttle between the living units and the clubhouse: just give them a call and they come get you. There are several swimming pools. The main one is big enough to actually swim and get some exercise. (It is the one with the waterfall that you can see on their web site).

We are still here and may have more to say later. We do have a couple of complaints. First, there is no store that is like Orientique. To buy even a bottle of aspirin you have to go out of the resort and drive several miles. I am told there are plans for another building that will hold a few retail outlets -- something that is needed. That main pool that is big enough to swim in is kept a bit too cold for most of us old folks.

Just a couple of things they didn't tell us before we arrived. There are two very good resturants and a couple more bars. You can get something to eat over many hours of the day (and every day). The place is 'cashless': they tell you to carry a card everywhere and use it to purchase meals and drinks. The staff asked to see ours the first time we went into the clubhouse. So you should not bring much cash.

A few more nights. Still enjoying the place. Wednesday evening was 'totally naked night'. Those who turned up nude got happy hour rates on drinks, until well past the end of heppy hour. For a change we were not the only naked people in the joint. By the next night it had reverted and we were the only naked people in the resturant. That evening there was one other nude couple on the dance floor of the disco. The staff is still very nice and the physical amenities are very good. But this ain't much of a nudist place, if you measure that by what people are wearing.
