We have not been to Oyster Bay Resort in 8 years. Can anyone give me an update on resort. Also staying a couple of days at the Westin there. Remembered hearing of unsafe conditions there a few years back. One more question, there used to be a COOL place to eat on Dawn Beach. Think it may have been TOM's? Great palms and pretty lights at night. Is it still there? Thanks. Going in May.

For beginners, I can't answer about OBBR.....however, the restaurant you're referring to is Daniel's By the Sea. It's Mr. Busby's by day and Daniel's by night. Very good restaurant.
Re: Westin......we've been there during the evening w/o issue. Great people watching. LOL. We stay in O.P and often go there to have a drink at night. Some gambling....not the best but hey, it's entertaining. Also, don't forget Dinghy Dock for a casual night....on the water and has a pretty decent happy hour from what I've heard.
Plenty of other terrific restaurants in O.P. you don't even have to leave the area, now....but, so much more to do that you'll want to....;-) Enjoy!!

Was at OBBR in February. Actually will be back May 10 for a week. At moment everything is in good shape, although construction of remodeling the dining room, Infinity, and the bar are scheduled to start soon.
Send me a regular email address and I'll send you my list of eating p[laces in the Oyster Pond area. SXMNorm@yahoo.com

Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

We juts were there 2 weeks ago. If it has been 8 years since last visit, you will not recognize the place. In our opinion, it has never looked so good. As normall, staff is great. As mentioned by others, lots of very good dining options. Our favorite was Canoe, ate there 3 times. Also, consistently surprised with quailty at on resort restaurant- Infinaty. Make sure to pm Norm your email address, his list is outstanding. We are going back for 2 weeks at Thanksgiving. Can't wait to return. One other item, Captain Alan's boat/snorkel trips that leave from Oysteer Bay are the best. Enjoy.
