We are four weeks out and I can't wait. Can't think too much about the trip as I'm hosting a bridal shower at my home and Easter lunch. After next weekend I can start my countdown :-)

2 weeks from tomorrow!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - beer in hand - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

At least you all have a date smile No date for us yet - Looking at July though, maybe August at the latest. Gotta wait until our little one gets all his shots.

7 weeks from right now, I'll be in San Juan airport waiting for our flight to Beef Island. I will probably be enjoying a Landshark at the little Margaritaville outpost there <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

Just sucks that it's almost always red-eyes for us, isn't it??

I feel your pain, we leave the house at 6pm for the 3 hour drive to the airport, then we arrive Beef at 6pm the following day.

Its great to live on the left coast!

Yup...our next move will be to someplace CLOSER to the place we love the most! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" /> Not too long now...

We leave in the wee hours of 5/14 at 12:27am out of LAX, change O'Hare for SJU and get there at around 3pm. Jump on Seabourne to Beef at 5:25pm for a 6:15pm arrival...we'll probably miss happy hour but I just can't wait to be at Cane Garden Bay - spending one night and day there and then getting on for our sleep aboard the evening of the 15th. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

Cape Air changed my homebound flight time from 10am to 8:15am. Now I have to spend the last night in the marina instead of at Cooper Island. I also get about 5 hours between flights at SJU with 5 kids. Another family is going with us. We'll have our 15, 13, and 8 yo's and their 15 and 13 yo's. 5 hours in SJU is going to suck. Thanks Cape Air.

Funny...Cape Air did the same thing to us on our homebound flights - but ours are now later. We fly at 10:00am as opposed to 9:15am from Virgin Gorda - 3 hours in San Juan....not ideal...but not 5, thank God.

I used FF miles through American. It makes my every other week trip to Chicago worth it, especially in the winter.

Was not very happy spending over 2 times what I used last time despite being low season. I booked on the first possible day. Felt like I was hosed by AA for redeeming the miles.

True.

But the red-eye is still better than getting into STT late and losing a whole day. With the red-eye, we get to the boat for the sleep aboard at 5 or 6 and then sleep really well once we get into the rum/sleep deprived coma.

That is true, Mark...look forward to a full lazy day at Cane Garden Bay with friends the day after we arrive! Glad we get a full beach day before sleepaboard!

And yes....it is getting harder and harder to use miles with ALL of the airlines.

We gave up on airline miles and stick with Capital One Venture, 2 miles per dollar, book any airline and redeem.
