I am new to the broad. We are planning our 4th trip to the BVIs and I have found your broad extremely helpful, thank you. I now have a last minute question to ask. After having convinced the crew to use one carry-on bag each for the entire trip; I am now packing and realize it is hard to pack everything for a 10 day trip into a carry on. Doesn’t help that the airlines have gotten more restrictive with the carry-on size as well. BTW: I do lay everything out and put half of it back  So, I might need a laundry run during the second week. I remember, from a previous trip, Marine Cay has a laundry facility. And I think there is one at Anegada. Does anyone know of any other easy to reach laundry facilities? Thanks

Cane Garden Bay has a couple of laundry options by Rhymer's...we use Emma by the gas station at the bottom ( Southside) of Zion Hill but not so good if you are on a boat..I thought the laundry at Soper's was working but last time I looked it seemed abandoned..

Leverick Resort has a nice one - you purchase tokens at the office for the resort and there is a store you can purchase detergent and softener as well. If you use the slip you get a free top-off of your water and a free bag of ice for basically the same price as a mooring ball. And, the hosts (Nick and Monica) are some of the best people in the world as are the dock hands. Welcome to the "broad" and glad you like the broad! (don't you just hate spell check!!??)

You will realistically only use half of what you take. Those vacuum "space bags" work real well for compressing stuff, even large ziplocs work, just sit on them to squeeze the air out.
My foot fits right into my shoe and my shoe will fit right into your...

A few of our crew did a little bit of laundry in the sink of our cat and hung it to dry on the rails.

This is what I do. Just bring 2-3 sets of clothes and do a quick rinse and wash with dish soap in the sink every 3-4 days and dry on the lifeline and you should be good to go. I'd rather do that because I can do it in a jiff while waiting on others to get themselves together. The last thing I want to do on vacation is sit by a machine and wait.
That said, doing the family thing with my parents and inlaws next trip and I am thinking of making sure that laundry facilities are available to them near mid-trip. But I'll be out snorkeling while anyone who chooses to do so does laundry!

Doing laundry in Anegada is not a bad option. The laundry is walking distance from the dock at Potters and you can either go back to Potter's and watch the boats come and go or walk 4 stores down to 'Lil Bits open air bar and have a couple of drinks while waiting for the machine.

Get a 5gl bucket filled half way along with a couple of drops of dishwash then pump up and down 25 times with the small toilet plunger that are on most boats and rinse.
