My husband and I just returned from 10 day trip and thought I would just mention a few comments from our trip(something like the 8th trip).
Stayed at Sapphire in a nice studio and was impressed with unit, view and happy with no maintenance problems(though ours was a privately owned unit).
Used Unity car rental for the first time(we always had used triple A but Alaine did not respond) and was very impressed
with Michael and his service <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Cool.gif" alt="" />
New(for us)Meals at Chez Ramond at Bay Rouge which was very good for food on the beach, La Gondola which was good food and service for very high prices $$$$
Happy Hours were almost all spent at the Kissing Fish Bar at the Summit Resort with Chloe and Teri who were great hosts. We have visited many happy hour joints on the island and find this place to be the most fun with lots of friendly and interesting people to visit with almost every time we go. '
Plus the food on specials nights and breakfast is very reasonable and very good. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" />
Most unusual thing this visit was the USS George Washington(Aircraft Carrier!!) being there for 4 or 5 days for 6000 of the Navy's finest visiting the island. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/usflag.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" /> The young men and women we met, mostly at happy hour at the Kissing Fish Bar were mostly well behaved and we enjoyed visiting with
them and hearing about their adventures. Never been called Maam so much in my life <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/thinks.gif" alt="" /> anyway, they were great young people having a good time. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dance.gif" alt="" />
Thats about it of anything new to report. No point in complaining about what everyone knows ie... tons of traffic and construction, no sand at Cupecoy and the airport is a nightmare even in the middle of the week now.
