Does anyone think that 26 days on a 393pc is too long? I have folks telling me we will be bored after 10 days. Is it possible for boredom to set in while in the Bvi?

With 10 days to go until the tax filing deadline i would kill for some boredom right now!

I don't know if boredom would set in or not, but depending on when your going and if you needed reservations or not, you could always dock the boat for a day or two halfway through your trip and stay on land and explore an island.....my first thoughts would be Anegada or VG. I am not sure if there are any saftey issues w leaving a boat on a ball unattended? Maybe experienced charterers can chime in on that. But if you were docked at Leverick and maybe stayed at Little Dix or Guavaberry for a night or two that would break up the trip?

We normally go for 18 to 21 days, there is so much to see and do, we never get bored.

Although we travel with friends and family, sometimes they get a little old (never us!) but break it up with day trips on land.

But we are mainly there for the sailing and diving.

If your in an "island state of mind". I don't hink it's possible. Plenty of things to see and do and you could also visit St John and St Thomas.

I can only dream of 26 days today.. And I see your in a power cat. Take your time.. Cruise at 8 to 10knts.

In 26 days you might do a quarter of the things you plan to do!!

My first thought was, yes, you would be bored. But friends of mine bought their own 40' sailcat ("40 Below") and just spent nearly three months in that exact same area and don't seem to be complaining.

But Yikes! What is the rental cost for a month on a 393?

I think it depends on what your definition of entertainment is? If you think that chilling out, relaxing and enjoying nature rather than sticking with a strict sightseeing itinerary is the way to go, then no boredom for sure.

It's not what you've got, it's what you give, it's not the life you choose, it's the life you live.

We sail 4-6 weeks a few times a year and rarely get bored. We can easily sit in Maho or Salt Pond in USVI until we run out of water. Granted, for us, some time is spent on cleaning and maintenance. Try a week in the Spanish Virgins, they are great and quiet as well. We are currently on our 4th day of a months visit.

26 days is still not enough time in my opinion. We were there one trip with two different groups on two different boats over a total of 18 days and it was not enough and we didn't get bored even though we did a loop of most things twice.

We even visited Leverick 3 different times that trip and that wasn't boring either!
