Not too much to tell.
We ended up at Kem Shaw near BBB yesterday. Very relaxing, we didn't have to fight the waves--lol. The chairs are free with lunch and since they forgot our lunch, we both had a free Carib. They managed to get them done quickly and both lunches were good. I had the ribs. They are not the same as Rosie's but very good. Rit had a cheeseburger which he enjoyed. We were there until after 4 PM.

We decided on the Lolos last night and were not disappointed. The food was great!! I had the crab salad and some creole shrimp. Rit had some grilled shrimp with sides of coleslaw and potatoe salad, which he loves there.
He was really surprised how good my crab salad was. He said he had never tasted anything like it.
He ended up with some passion fruit ice-cream --excellent. I had 2 rum punches and they don't skimp on the rum!!!
We walked down the street and it seemed like most restaurants were busy.
After the rum punch, it was home to bed.

Sunday is a really crowded day at Mullet and from what Pat just posted, it sounds like the waves are big. We may have to head to Orient--big decision.

Terry,

I just went out again and yes.....the waves are crashing in, for now anyway. We can see them crashing and foaming white spray up on the point. Orient sounds like a safer choice.......

Respectfully,

pat

I guess it will be Orient today! Or the deck and pool.

Thank-you

Carol, tons of seaweed--just brought a bottle of water to poor Nicholas. The cliffs don't look good right now, but things change here quickly as you know. The water is staying down away from the cliffs and they are not losing the beach.

Thanks for the report. Which Lolo did you get your crab salad at?

Poor Nicholas, he is such a hard worker. Pat said it has been hot the past couple of days also. Hopefully the cliffs will flatten out but not lose beach and hope that nasty seaweed goes away. I can't believe it's such a problem, this time of year!

Hi, Terry. We love spending at least one day at Kim Sha because of the calm waters and lunch at BBB ain't bad either!

Do they use real crab or imitation crab in their salad?

SXMNorm, the Lolo was Talk of the Town.

SXMscubaman, it looked and tasted real to me. It was great!

Louise, it was nice not having to fight the waves.

The water was perfect at Orient today--so calm.
We had lunch at Orange Fever again, since it was so good last week. I had the Mahi Mahi again and Rit had another burger.
The waiter nodded at my selection until I ordered a sangria to go with it. It was great! Those French and their wine!! He was waiting for me to order a nice white, but I'm sure he is use to us tourists.

Carol, the cliffs start at the pool and go away from the Villas, but there is a steep drop in front of our Villa. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Good to know. Thanks. Many places use krab instead of crab and call it crab. Glad it's the real thing.

We are going back to the Lolos, TOTT, for more crab salad tonight. It was a very nice day--our last--tomorrow it's back to Connecticut and the cold. I'm ready after 15 days. It has been very hot the past few days with lots of seaweed plus big waves here at BSV and Mullet. We are happy we had so many good days at Mullet to start!!!

We had excellent conditions at Orient and Kim Sha, where we spent today.
We started with a great breakfast at the Yacht Club. We stopped at Zee Best Bakery first, for a decaf coffee, since they don't serve it. (Great coffee.) We were there when the bridge opened and were able to watch the boats come in. We noticed the cars stopped on the new bridge, but we missed the opening.

We went off to Marigot Market, but there were only a couple of vendors. Most businesses were closed on the Dutch side for King's Day, including the office at BSV.

We had a few drinks and a little food at Kim Sha and had a relaxing day with no waves.

Another great trip!

What are the beach conditions and sand status over there as well as the seaweed situation? The waves are still slamming in on Mullet, so much so we can still hear them on our balcony.

Respectfully,

pat

Pat, the waves aren't giant, but big enough and still filled with seaweed, as is the beach!!

The Sahara Dust is giving me a sore throat in the evenings and Rit is sneezing like crazy---at least we are thinking that is the problem.

Is it the Sahara dust or ash from the volcano in Chile?
