I confess.... Our visits to the BVI have mostly involved sailing, restaurants, snorkeling and beach bars. We haven't yet experienced "local culture" other than sugar mill and copper mine ruins. We're heading to Tortola, Anegada and VG this month and would love some ideas on museums, farmer's markets and such. Thanks to all in advance.

Google some of these: Sage Mountain Tortola - Bubbly Pool Jost Van Dyke - Green VI Glass Studio and Callwood Rum (both Cane Garden Bay) - North Shore Shell museum - Dungeon in pocketwood pond - salt island has it's own history including a cemetary

Road Town has a small museum run by the historical society, I believe. Botanical Gardens also in Road Town.

Attending one of the local church services is always a good intro to some locals and the culture.
