Part2
Where does the time go! The TTLOL party at the Greenhouse was a lot of fun. Reconnected with some from prior years and met some new friends. Quite a few from Michigan this time. Thank you to Sheila for making the arrangements. We stayed at the Greenhouse for dinner. I had the Bang Bang Shrimp wrap and John had the Bang Bang Chicken wrap. Both we delicious, nicely spicy and a bit sweet at the same time. Each came with 2 sides. With coke and wine the bill was 45 including service. Very reasonable. Thursday we are at the Stone with another couple. Entrees were Scallops, Tuna, Beef Tenderloin and pork loin stuffed with spinach and feta. Everyone loved their meals. With 2 bottles of water the tab was 75 per couple inc. tip. The rest of the meals so far have been on the balcony.
Weather. The weather has been odd to say the least It’s been VERY windy, windier than I’ve ever seen it. Very hazy too. So far we have not even had a shadow of a view of Saba. At least that has meant not a single mosquito. Thursday we had quite a bit of rain. We must have had a dozen good downpours throughout the day interspersed with sun. The last couple of days the wind has lessened.
Did a grocery run to the Grande Marche this morning. Coming back across the causeway the the stop and go traffic till we got past the roundabout, then it was fine. Going to the airport traffic was backed up all the way to the Simpson Bay Bridge. Sure glad we weren’t trying to catch a flight! Pool time this afternoon I think…
