We awoke to a less than stellar sunrise - lots of clouds coming at us from the French side of the island so after pastries and coffee in the room we decided to just hang here at the Towers for a while and see how the day progressed.

Went out to the pool and read and played dodge the occasional passing shower for a while. Never came down long enough or hard enough to say it rained, but at no point did we think it was going to evolve into a beach day either.

Went back to the suite around one and grabbed some lunch and decided it was a perfect day for a nap before we headed back out to the pool. Well, we never made it back to the pool.

Showered and dressed for dinner at the Tides as a very last minute decision. We ran into Bob and Dot and friends of theirs which was pleasant, too.

And an addendum re the Tides.....they have a very limited weekly menu but we each managed to fine something that pleased us. John had a salmon poached in paper - there's a big long formal name for the method which I do remember but don't know how to spell - and I had a yummy Caesar Salad with garlic grilled shrimp. Our meals were served by a lovely young French woman and it was pleasant to exchange viewpoints and perspectives with her.

After making a brief deposit at The Dunes we called it an early night knowing we had a very early wake-up call this morning.
